This beautiful unique and delightful Island is situated between the coastlines of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, in the middle of the Irish Sea.

According to Legend The Isle of Man was created when the Irish giant Finn MacCooill threw a chunk of earth from Ireland’s coastline towards Scotland, when in battle, which landed in the Irish Sea and became the Isle of Man.

Blessed with stunning and breath-taking scenery it has a fascinating history dating back over 10,000 years. There are so many reminders of its intriguing past with Castles, Viking burial grounds, Celtic crosses & beautiful Victorian architecture. And so much more living history it’s Victorian steam trains, electric and horse-drawn trams, largest water wheel in the world and Tynwald – seat of Manx Parliament – instituted by the Vikings and recognized as the oldest continuous
government in the world.

Having an extensive coastline stretching for 100 miles and across the northern plain, amazing natural landscapes and long sandy beaches, the Isle of Man makes a perfect holiday destination within easy reach of the rest of the British Isles.

Although relatively small (33 x 13 miles) the Isle of Man enjoys fabulously varied scenery. Secluded sandy beaches, rocky coves, rugged cliffs, sand dunes and dramatic hills disappearing into the sea. To the interior you’ll find lush glens, heath & moor land, plantations, flat plain, wild curragh and plenty of rolling green hills, farm pastures and even a mountain, Snaefell.

Due to the influence of the sea the Island’s climate is temperate making it an ideal year round visitor destination.

You’ll never be short of something to do whether you’re passionate about history and culture, wildlife, sport or heritage transport.

The Isle of Man has plenty to see and do, places to visit and a packed entertainment program.
